We at Master & Dynamic are committed to supporting the creative community. Since 2014, we have partnered with Harlem Village Academies (HVA), a K-12 public charter school system that includes a college support program and graduate school of education.
Contributions from Master & Dynamic supported HVA’s foundational art program, helping HVA to offer contiguous arts education to its students. In addition, we have donated headphones that enable the music program to integrate greater independent and small-group work into classroom.
Since the school’s arts program began, the number of classes offered across all grades and schools has continued to grow, and an increasing number of students are expressing interest in pursuing arts-related majors in college. Arts teachers across the school system have brought a new level of expectation and enthusiasm to the classroom, and the students are responding to the new challenges with an unprecedented level of creative output.
By utilizing Master & Dynamic headphones in various music courses, more students are able to hone their craft at once. In piano classes, for example, multiple students can practice without disturbing others just a few feet away.
This winter, the choir has been spreading seasonal joy, caroling through the hallways of the school. Students and their families will enjoy viewing the students’ digital photography and visual artwork at HVA High’s Arts Department Winter Showcase, with beginner and intermediate piano players performing and the choir singing throughout the evening. In addition, the entire community is looking forward to the school’s production of “Little Shop of Horrors.”
We are proud to sponsor the arts programs at Harlem Village Academies and invest in the next generation of creatives.
