Virtually hosted by CharityBuzz from December 7th through December 14th, 100% of proceeds from the auction will benefit Children in Conflict. Children in Conflict is a non-profit organization that protects children affected by war, with initiatives including reuniting children with their families and removing barriers to education.
Master & Dynamic Partners With Soundwaves Art And David Bowie To Benefit Children In ConflictDecember 7, 2020
Soundwaves Art creates limited edition designs from audio soundwaves, which are sold to raise money for charities working across the world. The design, which is digitally silkscreened on a Master & Dynamic MA770 Wireless Speaker magnetic grille, depicts an actual soundwave from David Bowie’s “Heroes”.
Tim Wakefield, Artist and Founder of Soundwaves Art Foundation says, “Like many music fans, David Bowie has long been a hero of mine. Coming of age in the UK in the 70s and 80s, Bowie was a massive influence on what I wore, how I acted, and what I listened to. It was an honor to work with his estate on the sound waves artwork of “Heroes” last year. When the idea was presented to us of working with Master & Dynamic to extend this artwork to one of their speakers, I was thrilled. Music is central to everything I do in life, and it has been a joy to partner with such a forward-thinking company focused on improving how we actually experience the music we love. I am so excited for this “Heroes” speaker to be released and look forward to many more collaborations with M&D that expand how we can better hear – and see – our favorite songs.”
